Lost Cd Key For BF1942 (HELP!)

Aye, does anyone know how to get bf1942 to work online if u dont have the cd key?
Corey from swat is having problems.. so i told him i would see if anyone has any ideas what he can do because he cant play online cuz he lost his cd key.
i heard there is cracks that will let you play online, but i dont wanna send him to 1 and he gets a virus out of it..
Any ideas would be apperciated.

yes there are cracks. BUT u can only play in cracked servers and will not beable to play in a regular server..due to the cd key being in use already i had explained this to him.. after i got him hooked up with all the mods and everything..cheezes thanks for checkin though

when he has install an legal BF42 and lost his Key, he will find it with the following option:

open Regestry and take a look into : HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE => Software => Electronic Arts => Battlefield 1942 => ergc ! in this folder his Key is registered !

i think he already installed again with a cracked key so wont it over wright the original legal file?
